You can grab a 470 from here
http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/product/p28H99/sapphire-radeon-rx-470-4gb-nitro-video-card-11256-01

the 470 is about double the power of the 750 ti.
So in a game where you saw 20 fps at ultra settings, i would expect to see 40-50 fps now.

edit: if you dont like one of the shops that sells it for 318/319 then let me know. i can find a different retailer. I do not know the new zealand online stores that are best so feel free to also let me know that :)

Thanks so much for this

is there much difference between the 470 and 480??
ALso the difference between 4GB And 8GB GPUs?

Out of the shops listed on that site id most likely use PB Tech as there is one down the road from my house :O

If i spent say another 100 or so (450-500 NZD) would i get a large jump in performance?

thanks for all the info so far :D

There's a small difference between the 470 and 480.
There is a difference between 4 gig and 8 gig cards, but it is small and dependent on vram. Essentially more vram will allow the card to perform higher, only if it uses all the vram first. I definitely think 4 GB is plenty for 1080p.

In any event...Please note these recommendations are chosen because you said you wanted to buy from the one store. There may be cheaper things online elsewhere.

Recommended 470:

Recommended 480:

Recommended 1060 (most powerful affordable option):
