So the Zotac 1070 is good to get?

I see a lot of good reviews but I have never owned any cards but MSI/ASUS.

Getting out of my comfort zone spending 400+ for a brand I've never used.

Well ASUS is shit as far as customer service. So getting away from them can't be anything but a good move.

I have the zotac 1080 ad I am pretty happy with it. I will say that one you linked is a bit expensive for a 1070.

I would buy it on jet and use the shop15 coupon for 15% off (max $30)

I know people have had mixed reviews with jet but I have ordered probably 6-8 packages off of there and they have all been shipped by newegg.

Can get this for $370 with that promo.

or on newegg this one has a $30 rebate. (but the sale ends in an hour)

My experience with Asus customer service has been good. Had to RMA a monitor and an old video card with them. I received both within 7 business days and they weren't hard to deal with.

After deliberating about it, I decided I wanted to stick with either MSI or Asus. I could not find any MSI GTX1070 cards I liked as i noticed all their cards I could find only come with 2 fans.

I ended up buying the Asus card last night after my GTX770 SLI once again froze my game because the driver stopped working. I've had enough of it.

Got it for $404 shipped and a free copy of Watch Dogs 2.

Haha thanks I guess.

Truly, with my manually overclocked GTX770, in SLI, i was able to run Battlefield 1 on Ultra with no problems. I just now started playing PC games again when I decided to re-play all the Farcry games and then the Fallout series. I kept getting all those games around once every 2 hours to freeze due to driver issues.

Then I downloaded BF1 and it told me I needed the newest driver. I thought that would fix my problems but it keeps doing the same shit. I only encountered this problem once I bought the second card.

If it wasn't for that, I would just keep them. They were quite impressive really... just driver issues.

Can't wait to get the single card in though as I am hoping all my driver issues will be gone.

Ok so I got the new card installed.... I've been re-playing Fallout New Vegas this past week so I jumped on there once I get everything put back together.

Played for around 1.5 hours and noticed that the fans never came on. I checked the GPU temp with Speccy and GPUZ and both were reading 36C/37C.

Do the fans not come on until a certain temp or did i do something wrong?

Really don't want to kill and RMA a brand new card.

The newer vid cards, have started doing that. Power supplies too. The fan doesn't come on until you hit a certain temp.
You can also use MSI Afterburner, and set your own fan curve. But the one coded to the vid card BIOS will be considered first.

Ok sounds good. Just wanted to make sure I didn't have a defective card.

Thanks for the reply.

As long as it stays under 60c~ or so.. The fans won't kick on.
