Thanks a lot.
Yea can't do Chromebook as she will need some memory.

Question about photoshop-
Is the only way to get it for real to fork over the full amount or do they sell like truncated versions? Perhaps there are other programs that would just do what she needs instead- like a notepad ++ for paint

Bc she doesn't need intense photoshopping.
She just wants to create very professional looking handouts for students.

Guys- I really appreciate your help!

Yea lol.

I can find a better way :p

As for laptop, I'd prefer the SSD that is part for the $479 one.
Think we'd do better around blacm Friday or is that a pretty solid deal?

Get an ssd for $50 clone old one to it with clone zilla and stick to the cheaper laptop.

cs2 can be downloaded and run for free here:

read comments for correct link and guide for instructions.

Only thing to keep in mind is cs2 does not play well with windows 10.

not really unless your going into a store, then is it worth the extra 10-20$ with all that madness

#edit

as a side note being an educator I'm pretty sure she can get a heavy discount on a retail version
might be worth looking into that I believe its 80$ in Canada for a license, so i'd assume 50-60 US
