Even lets him upgrade to a 1080 within his budget. Or stay with the 1070 & pocket some money.

I am not sure If I need the 1070 or 1080 to be comfortable at 1080p? If needed, I'll get a bigger case to fit the atx size. What I am wondering about, is if the mobo mentioned is the best option? Also, if I should go for a nice 980 or the 1060 gpu?

1070 for 1080p
1060 can't be sli'd
1070 is 30-40% better then the 980
the 1070 oc's well
