~70ish more for windows and comp install.
Beats any trash prebuild from newegg

Hmm that actually looks alot better price wise. Is just having a plain old CPU cooler fine?
Never done anything like this before, should i shell out more for liquid cooling?

e/ I also have a 850W Thermaltake PSU that is maybe 6 months old.
Could i potentially use this? or should i just buy a new one cuz new pc.

If you want the looks, then yeah you can get x61 or h100i liquid coolers, but u'll have to fork out more for a bigger case. Overclocking wise won't make a huge difference, and won't be worth the extra $. Also 6600k doesn't include stock coolers. If you're not overclocking, you can save much more going for non k version of cpu and that also includes stock fan.

I wouldn't suggest using that psu u alrdy have.

I'm a pretty big noob so i can't see myself overclocking anything. As long as i'm not running a risk of overheating i couldnt care less about what cooling/case i have.

Is there any way to prune the price down a little bit or am i pretty much stuck with this price range for good quality?

What you linked is $1654 and then im going to get shafted on taxes, will be close to 1900 bucks.

For what you want you will be shafted hard for quality. Welcome to the land of "good" computers

Change mobo to below if u wanna save a lil more, but I suggest you stick with the z170 board since u got the budget and the difference isn't too big.

Also: you can over clock Skylake cpus with locked multipliers on Z boards by changing the base clock

Intel patched that by sending a micro updates to those motherboards re-locking them. (Gigabyte, msi asus evga ect)

You can still get around it. but you have to flash an old bios version on to those boards.

Yeah, it's a good case especially for only 30bux.
Cases in Canada are overpriced af, this type of case usually goes for 55+. 30ish cases in Canada are usually those shitty scraps with psu placement up top, or like zalman quality shit cases.
