I'd recommend a first time builder watch both videos. The only thing I disagree with in the older video is the way he applies thermal paste (he does it correctly in the newer video). Both are good videos guides in my opinion.

You've never had to force in RAM a bit? Maybe force is the wrong word, but sometimes it takes quite a bit of pressure to get RAM all of the way in. Closing the CPU enclosure takes some hard pressing as well.

I've built plenty of computers and I if you're having to use excessive force then you prolly have it lined wrong.

RAM never, ever just slides in easy with little effort. lol

Don't tell the guy it takes no force whatsoever and you have to be gentle, because you don't.
