350w less than my current? If it says 80PLUS cert that means you'll get ~85% of stated wattage guaranteed. My intentions with this build are to continually improve and OC, so I think I'll need the 1000w eventually.

Noctua nh-d14 or d-15

These both look amazing, will definitely consider it after I get a new SSD, GPU, and case. Do you know if the thermal compound that comes with those coolers is good, or should I get AS 5?

I royally fucked my thermal compound application too so replacing the cooler may take priority. That, or simply replacing the stock compound with AS 5.

Appreciate the input!

80 plus or the 85% means that the PSU is 85% efficient. NOT that it will get only 85% of the advertised wattage.

An 85% efficient PSU only loses 15% of the wall power when converting to the computer power. It will still put out 100% of it's rated wattage. Usually, with good PSUs, they will put out a bit more than the advertised wattage.

Didn't know that, thank you!

I've only known Noctua for having the best case fans, but agree that their colors are unappealing. Are there aesthetically appealing coolers that can compete with the Noctua coolers performance-wise?

You should probably get one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181094

It will keep your CPU about 9C cooler, and IF it ever leaks, Corsair will replace w/e it leaks on. :)
Plus, it doesn't block any RAM slots..etc.

/e A lot of ppl use this one, also: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835146042 ...but I dunno if it has the same warranty as Corsair does.

My mobo does support liquid cooling.. This would be a fun project that I've never attempted before. I'd go with the corsair one.
Would you recommend AS 5 or using w/e thermal compound comes with the heatsink?

I use and recommend Zalman ZM-STG2. It never hardens, requires no curing time and is on the "A" list of thermal compounds.

The paste that comes on the corsair aios is top notch stuff. No reason to replace it unless you remove the cooler for whatever reason

I myself have the h110i GT and my i5 is sitting at ~21-26 at idle lol
