Really not wanting to wait. Currently dealing with a broken video card and wanting to get a new computer soon. Is buying the 970 now a terrible idea? is there a better alternative?

Who knows when those 1070s will hit Canadian suppliers, it could be mid summer for all we know? and how much they will cost? (everything costs more in Canada).

Thanks for all the posts guys.

Something I'd like to point out is we are not overclocking, as i mentioned before. So I'm thinking it would be a waste to buy a Z170 chipset, 212 EVO, Unlocked CPU, etc. H170 chipset should be fine, right?

A 500gb SSD is a requirement. With windows and a truck load of games, 250 gb just isn't enough.

I see you guys went for G.Skill ram. Was there a problem with Corsair Vengeance? How important is cas latency in DDR4?

How long do you think it will be before the GTX 1070 will be available in models from MSI, Asus, EVGA, etc?

Which gamea r u playing ? Not all games requires quick loading
