If you use it for gaming then you should not spend more on your CPU then on your GPU, since the GPU is the limiting factor for almost all games.
Maybe something like this would be more suitable. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xLZ46h

I'm not sure which ones you are talking about as he has 3 referenced links xD.

I'd also prefer 800 total if possible. I'd only really want med-high settings on most higher quality games as i don't even play them much.

i play league and blade and soul

300 dollars is 2 weeks for work for me cuz i work 20-30 hours a week at a 9 dolla/hr job cuz im a college student =/

edit: if you guys think i3 will work (which is cpu right?) then i think getting good gpu and monitor with good synergizing items for 800 total would make me very happy.

Thats sadly not how it works. An i3 is great for gaming but not at high settings or modern games. The next resonable step down (in my opinion) would be a i3 6100 paired with a gtx 960. Since these are low wattage components you can then even switch to a cheaper case with only one fan, since you wont need much cooling anyway. This can still play most of the games at medium settings and good fps, but will most likly fail to run the AAA games that come out in the next years with decent frame rates.

This CPU has the best single core performance.
Definitely worth the extra.
Also switched case and RAM.

Case switch is nice. I have mail in rebates disabled, but if you do them that case is just as good for a cheaper price.
The extra ram is also very nice, as you can configure some of it to run as a cache for the samsung ssd. That makes your overall computer very responsive.
CPU switch is arguable.
One more thing. Since you we are talking about super budget, maybe even get a cheaper main board. Since we are only using one Case fan and you dont really need RAID support and all this stuff?

base? Do you mean the Case? Thats not a problem. 3.0 header are downwards compatible with USB 2.0, but will of course only run at around 54MB per second.
