I recommenced to him a 980 ti if he wanted to spend closer to $1500. I also mentioned that he won't really see these nice benefits without a good monitor and he mentioned that the monitor was a separate purchase with different budget.

i listed an example of a game he plays. I have no idea what else he plays and what he is looking forward to play in the future. It's not my money.
