In my opinion, Windows 10 is just as good as Windows 7 for gaming. It's not the nightmare it was before like 8 and 8.1

There's others that will disagree but with the 1511 update, they fixed a lot of bugs in Windows directly related to gaming.

8 Yes
8.1 never had issues

I haven't looked into it much, what's up with the "keylogger" thing everyone is freaking about?

There's no "keylogger" but people always fail to read the terms and agreements.

Basically, Microsoft is collecting data for what people are doing and how they use their PC. So, people think it's monitoring them. However, if you're not doing anything illegal then why worry? There's workarounds for most of the monitors they use but I haven't used any yet. I'm not wearing a tin foil helmet.

Also, I believe someday they will create a lighter version of Windows for gamers depending on what exactly the information they are gathering. Alot of issues were fixed with build 1511 and it seems to run more smoothly. Most of the problems I have with it is drivers and software which isn't Microsoft's problem. It's lousy coding by other programmers. I can't hold Microsoft responsible because Rockstar can't write a game properly.

I figured it was something for improving features, etc, and not collecting ssn#'s and whatnot lol.

Okay last question before I turn this bad boy on, I couldn't find any info on what slot's to run my ram in, I have 2 8gb ddr4 2400 sticks, should I run in slot 1 & 2, or 1 & 3. The book didn't really explain what slots do what so im kinda lost.

I may be attempting to OC it a bit, so will get back to you all when that time comes also.

On most motherboards in the last 4 to 6 years, the RAM goes in slots 2 and 4, counting away from the CPU.

Lol okay all, ive hit a major snag, a bunch issues installing windows 7 i fixed after many headaches, but inside of windows it would detect no new devices, usb, external hdd rtc, it shows all inside bios.

Called msi support to see if i missed something in bios and they wantes me to enable xchi(not sure of exact letters), now it wont read my keyboard or mouse, so im unable to enter bios to disable it again.

Ive also reset cmos 3 times and nothing works.

What do I do.

Yes, i tried pulling another hdd that had windows installed but it wont load it because no drivers.

So my issue is now.

Got the keyboard and mouse working, my computer has no optical drive to install drivers from disc, once im inside windows it will not detect anything i plug in the usb slots, they are however all powered because they will charge my phone in every slot. I do have an external optical drive, but it wont detect it since it is usb powered.

Think i may have to but an internal drive just to install drivers, unless i can open my external and hope it has a sata slot on it.
