Who invented HBM?

Help?
Same with gddr5

Doesn't really matter imo on helping invent if your new tech doesn't surpass last ones out of the gate
Reminds me of ddr3 vs gddr5 days

Pascal, Polaris will both use HBM2, and Vulkan will probably be out by then...so, it's just same story, different day...

Okay so i've now had 2 threads and gone back and forth between 1080p vs 1440p and 60hz vs 144hz. Do i need to spend 2k+ on a computer/monitor set up when I play crappy games with bad graphics? Probably not. That being said there was one build that I think fits my needs.

I have decided that I will do 1080p gaming with 2x 24inch HD Acer Monitors.

Before I buy this stuff I have a few questions. Is this build upgradeable? If in 2-3 years I decide I want to upgrade the video card or the processor will this mother board be good enough for that? Is the power supply enough for upgrades in the future? Is the cheapish ram okay?

The core of the build will be that processor and that video card but if you see something that I can do better on the other parts for a similar price please help me out!

I greatly appreciate everyone's help here. This has been a lot more eye opening experience than I could have imagined.

You can upgrade the CPU to an I7, I don't know what chipset Kaby Lake will use.
GPU can easily be upgraded,
RAM is value RAM, no heatspreaders and in a high end build skimping on RAM is ridiculous.
NEX is EVGAs budget Gold rated power supplies. Again, the one spot you don't skimp on.

Thank you. I'm told the motherboard doesn't let me over clock either. If you could spend a little more and put a better mother board in there which would you pick?
