AMD might have its unified socket available this year featuring DDR4, so AMD might compete with Intel again with "Zen" and later "Zen+". B)

However, Intel has available the best CPUs for any task if you do not want to wait...

If you can flex your budget, I would do this:

If you just absolutely refuse to, then you'd have to go for amd to fit the budget.
