yeah definitely demand they show you what the did in person, especially if you bought the stuff there and they assembled it for you. If you bought the stuff from them and there's a compatibility issue they should allow a refund to something that does work.
Yeah, I'm not worried about getting a refund.

Assuming the RAM was good, then they probably just didn't set the manufacture's recommended frequency, timing and voltage...manually in the BIOS.
But without knowing more it's difficult to say. What made YOU think the RAM was incompatible? What happened when you turned the computer on for the first time, where there any messages?
I never said I thought the RAM was incompatible, I personally thought it was an issue with the motherboard.
The first time I turned it on; all the fans started up, lights on motherboard lighted up and I got three beeps from the little speaker. (and that is all she wrote

)
Although I wasn't able to test my RAM modules on another PC because they're DDR4, and I don't have a DDR4 compatible motherboard at home (except for the one I now bought which is in the store).
And I wasn't able to try some DDR3 RAM modules on the new motherboard because (I read somewhere) that using DDR3 modules in a DDR4 slot would not work; and could possibly damage the setup.

if you look on ASrock's website, they do not gaurantee overclock mode, however, it is in their compatibility list. Like Ghot said, they need to set the XMP profile. If it goes to BIOS then it's not the RAM, if it POSTs then the RAM will work.
Yeah, I haven't overclocked anything - didn't even get to the BIOS to do so.
Thanks for your guys' replies; again
