Trade-offs

Doesn't really matter, I'd personally jump on the AMD build because of the GPU and overclock the 6300.

Not in my opinion.
but it's pros and cons.

Pro:
You may be able to not be forced to upgrade your cpu for a slightly longer time, because its a little stronger so it may survive more years.
Con:
you will have worse game performance compared to the amd build because gpu is more important

If you're someone who ugprades only 4-5 years, then I don't think it's better, because in that time you will want a new set of both either way.
But otherwise they are right, its easier to upgrade gpu than it is to upgrade your CPU.

If i was personally in your situation, i would get the amd build, as I think it will last you longer

Sexys Slightly less powerful gpu
Will play all games at med and can handle new gpu 3 yrs from now and most likely won't bottle Neck

Raps build would give more gfx but it you change cards in3 yrs to something as powerful as 980ti which should be the normal entry card it will bottleneck it

So off you seeing yourself throwing 300 at it later go with sexys
If not go with raps
But fx series can't even compete with Intel on many games

Like i said though future can't be predicted on dx12 games
But if the developers code the the game for all dx12 features just adding any 2nd card will be a performance boost

my build = next upgrade is GPU if you need it, so if u got $400 to spend on upgrade, u can just get a gfg card, which releases more often
also, 4590 being cheaper than 4460 is a rare bonus. Not sure if it`ll last til Sunday, u may have to go with 4460 if sales change.

rapture`s build = ull need a bit of luck on ur fx6300 to OC to its potential with that mobo & cooler.
but ur getting a tier higher GPU

the 4590 will give you better steady min. FPS
the 6300 w/ 380 will give you higher max FPS

tho if i were to get 6300, i'd spend an extra $50 more for better mobo and the best perf air cooler on budget
