Intel would be the way to go, imo. They are a bit more expensive. Get the new gen i5-6600(k). The motherboards for the current i5-6600(k) has newer and improved features compared to the older gen. Although, the older gen i5-4970(k) isn't a bad option, if you won't utilize the current gen to it's potential.

i play mostly path of exile and csgo atm but path of exile is more demanding than you'd think... depending on the build you play etc haha also i don,t wanna limit myself to those games but i dont mind playing like newly graphic intensive games at only medium graphic instead of high or ultra ^^

go for the i5 6600 its good for all your games and much more.

It's been a while since I kept up-to-date with PoE. They had problems optimizing the game, and video cards were not properly utilized. Has this problem been fixed?

if you buy i5 6600k it will last you 2-3 video cards maybe more w/o needing to worry about cpu bottlenecks

seen many here give advice on half ass cpus and then later on when it comes time to upgrade gpu must do complete system cuz new gpu will cause cpu bottleneck

hopefully dx12 will fix this but nothing is concrete yet

You've made a nice build, but it is not optimal for his situation.



Right now, ~$330 cpu, ~$150, motherboard, ~$60 ddr4 8gb ram. There may be a good bundle deal. That's what you should look out for.
