No reason, just have no explanation of why it's so much better

Its not so much better. Its about 10% better than Devil's Canyon. However, that's just raw performance. It also support DDR4 RAM and is a newer platform.

Something like this:

Feel free to change the case to whatever you want. You can get the MSI 390 instead of t he Gigabyte one if you want. The Gigabyte is just a little cheaper.

Fixed this. How does this look?

I dont think I will overclock the CPU because I dont want to fry it and have to pay for another one, I think it will work fine without overclocking. I heard little to no frames come from overclocking anyways.

if you want a locked CPU, since you have no plans for OCing
you can save more money getting a H motherboard, instead of the Z.
They're pretty much the same if you have no plans to OC.

and it seems like you want MSI and that case so here

Not really. Yes, the 3 TB drives are terrible but the 1 TB drive isn't. If you're only going to get a 1TB drive, just get whatever is cheaper. They all have similar failure rates. If you're really worried about failure, get a 5400 RPM or lower drive. Data will read and write slower, but its only for storage anyway if you're going to be installing your main programs, OS, and games on your SSD.

/e

I've had the same Seagate Barracuda 1TB for 5 or 6 years.

pretty much what dexa said above
1tb are fine
i have really old seagates that range from 300gb - 1tb, none of them failed yet.
only 1 WD hdd failed me after 4 years and it was a black caviar which are known to be reliable.
it's just bad luck at the end of the day

but it's ur $$ in the end, u can overspend a bit more for whatever HDD that will make you feel satisfied

Do I need to get any cables or cords or will my computer have all the cords needed for the build?

You'll have all the cables you need. The exception is, if you purchase 2 hdds and an Optical Drive. Depending on the mobo, you may need an extra sata cable, as some only come with 2.
