Doesn't sound like you need much in the way of specs

I have a Zenbook right now, have had it for 2 years or so and it has been an amazing machine, light, fast, backlit keyboard, nice screen, lacks a bit on storage (only an SSD) but makes up for it in speed and battery life

Here are a couple Zenbooks in your price range, highly suggest them (And don't be put off by the 13.3" screen, it is big enough)

http://www.amazon.com/Zenbook-UX305FA-Laptop-Intel-Greyish/dp/B00SGS7ZH4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1445515290&sr=8-1&keywords=asus%20zenbook%20prime

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232646&nm_mc=HookLogic&cm_sp=HookLogic-_-Ultrabooks-_-ASUS-_-34232646

Mine is a UX32 variant, has a 620m graphics, i7, 4gb of RAM (upgraded to 10), dual 128gb SSDs, IPS 1080p LED screen, 3 USB 3.0, full size HDMI output, Bang & Alufson audio, just enough power to get through a school day without charging, its been a great laptop

Edit: Didn't see Canada in your original post

Or search the other models on whatever sites or stores suit you

i also have a zenbook and can vouch that its great

mine is the UX303LA (i7, 8g ram, 128g ssd (can be switched to a larger one), 1080p, ips) , the UX303LN version includes a dedicated graphics card (840m i think) and QHD+ screen

Intel Core M-5Y10 0.8GHz
Scares me, Isnt that a super weak processor?

Thoughts? Screen size and processor are probably more than I need.

What is Intel HD Vs Intergrated? both are intergrated but the one is on the mobo the other is on the processor?

How are they?

I keep seeing laptops that look decent but have 0.8 (tubro to 2.ghz) processor with Intel HD graphics.

that sounds like alot of stress on a shittty little processor.

Thoughts on theone i linked above?
I think im looking for

2ghz+ intel processor
Nivdia 940M or better
8gb ram
Hdmi port

I can sacrifice storage and just use an external i already have an external 1tb.

The parts look fine and will run your games well. The only gripe, to me, is the resolution.

the new Zenbook has all that, but since its an ultrabook, its more expensive than you current budget
