I think I'm going to go with this year's i5 build and drop the RAM to save myself some money (forgot to mention I just recently purchased 2x4G Kingston Blues).
So total build will likely end up being $1,100 ish.
Maybe Tiger Direct will be able to manage this sort of thing. There is a store about 15 mins from me that I used to build my last PC, so I might try them simply for convenience sake.
The 6600k uses ddr4 ram, Your 2x4gb sticks of ddr3 won't work.

Is the ram you bought DDR4 or DDR3? The new i5 is optimal with DDR4, but DDR3 varient motherboards are also available.
