Yes, your GPU supports DVI and displayport. DP supports the greatest bandwidth, I would use that. Idk if HDMI 1.3 can support 1440p @ 144hz, but it will support 1080p.

This is probably your best bet

It comes with freesync too, so that'll benefit your card.

If you want to plan ahead theres the same style of monitor that comes with Gsync (Nvidia's version of freesync) for an extra ~100$. So if you upgrade to a Nvidia card down the line you'll benefit from that.

IIRC, 270x doesn't support FreeSync anyway.

Radeon R9 280, 280X, 270, and 270X are not FreeSync-capable.

I'm running an older card (HD6850) which is also not FreeSync capable, but I'm having very good results with my Asus VG248. I don't do any of the 3D stuff, but I do use it at 144mhz often with certain games and it functions very well, and the monitor is good.

So I got my Asus VG248 in the mail today and for whatever reason It doesn't display any other refresh rates then 60 hz max, is there something i'm doing wrong to try and make it to 144?
Thanks.

In case anyone else has this problem:
-Update AMD drive
-Update monitor drive
Right click desktop
Click on screen resolution or personalize (depending which windows OS you have)
Advanced settings
Monitor
Change refresh rate

Next, my card has 2 DVI ports, one DVI-D and one DVI/VGA port, I initially had it plugged into the DVI-D port, but the max reported was 60 hz. I tried again with the DVI/VGA port and immedietley the 144 hz option appeared.
