On kind of a strange scheduel, so catching this a little late, i was under the impression that PCI-e was a faster interface than M.2? I can change out the Asus SSD for the Intel one, no big deal there.



So does this mean I have 24 or 40 lanes, im confused becuase i thought the CPU 16 would be the most useable, I have been following your z170 thread and i didnt see anything about PCI-e lanes in that one? Because i would obviously like to run at 16x but i looked at the results and 8x is negligably worse...



This is what i saw also, the PCI-e is MUCH better/faster performance, or am i wrong?

I am an engineer I know a little about units. .. but I think I would take the 200mm one a 6 foot 7 inch dik is a little more than I could handle. .. that does not answer the pci lanes question though

And since 1 mbps is .125 mbs the pcie one dominates the m.2 one

Mbps and MB/s are 2 different things

Yes they are both capitalized in post 11.

The p and / mean the same thing. That's what I was confirming in my previous post. Megabits was randomly mentioned in the thread.
