My TV is a 37" LG, 1080p / 60 Hz. Like, Matt Damon, in the Bourne trilogy, I notice nothing out of the ordinary, I can see all his "moves" clearly etc.

To me it looks fine, but then again, I've never used a 120Hz TV. :)

/e Also there are now free sync and g-sync monitors as well. I happen to like DELL Ultrasharps, the come factory calibrated, have all the bells and whistles, and are absolutely crystal clear, with excellent color reproduction.

Some ppl, DO have troubles with 60Hz and below, to the point where they can get nauseous. I have a friend like that.
However, it doesn't seem to bother me at all.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that a LOT of the issues ppl have with a 60Hz monitor, is likely the person themselves, rather than the monitor.

it is actually! im not always comparing my montors refresh rates for e peen! and we have starbursts

and im not saying any one is wrong im just saying i don't think it helps as much as they are saying. you have to remember that some of them if not most of them are paid by sponsors to say basically what ever they get paid to say. I guess what i mean to is that the millions of people gaming form their homes only benefit a minuscule amount from a higher refresh given the other many variables that can effect reresh rates in gaming online. thats why i will not pay for higher refresh rate

gaming yes video editing no 3d modeling no ( honestly cant see how asking that would matter) cpu 3770k @4.8 gtx 98ti and 16 gigs of ram. Any other info sherlock?

The reason he asked, Is to know if you want a pure gaming monitor, Or a IPS gaming monitor, Or if you needed a color accurate monitor & or Adobe SRGB color spectrum for Photoshop/3d modeling /etc.

i dont buy that refresh rate bs unless its on a professional level where they are local area net works and lag isnt an issue. No monitors refresh rate is going to give someone a competitive edge, its all marketing bs! but thanks you

You've probably missheard how refresh rates help. Is it going to make you a pro gamer? No. Does it add a shit ton of fluidity to everything you play? Yes.

120hz+ Is so smooth for pretty much anything you play, Plus reduces blur.

The thing about 120hz tvs, Is you cant compare them to 120hz monitors.

95% of 120hz Tv's only accent 60hz input, So while they refresh at a true 120hz. They just repeat the same image twice since the input is only 60hz.

Same thing as above, But now you're repeating the image 4 times :)

Although it does give SOME percieved clarity/fluidity. Its nothing close to an actual 120hz monitor @ 120fps

Also movies/tv run @ 24fps anyways.
