I use the ASUS VG248QE 24in Widescreen 144Hz and couldn't be happier.

I loaded a colour profile on mine to make it look nicer, but that's just because my eyes are weird. You shouldn't have any issues.

Your eyes arent weird lol

They don't come calibrated from the factory & The vg248qe doesnt have all that great of color to begin with either.

okay i'm afraid to risk getting a monitor from korea and being unable to upgrade the firmware or return it

so im thinking of downgrading to a VN series? can you just overclock the monitor if it starts bottlenecking games? or would my strix gtx 970 max it fine?

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008DWITHI/ref=psdc_1292115011_t2_B00H8J0JZW

these are 150-170$. what type do i need?

it's VGA but on my 970 box the little pic is of a CRT monitor, will there be any issues with an IPS monitor?

I'd just get the qnix tbh. Get it from amazon or newegg, And they should cover the returns.

What do you mean bottlenecking games? 970 is 100% fine for 1080p, Can even do 1440p pretty decently.

The monitor you linked has a wide variety of inputs, Not just VGA.. Never use VGA.

I'm really nervous about ordering from korea, lol. Which VN series would I theoretically want, if I can't find a qnix fulfilled by amazon? :\

Considering it's 144hz, quick response, VESA compatable, and price range at release, I was pleasantly surprised by the color quality after calibation.
