I think I have my answer then, lol. Probably just going to stick with the SSD, GPU and CPU upgrades when I get the money... I don't feel like building a whole new computer atm. Thanks for the help again guys!

Sorry for being late!
I dont know for certain that your CPU is holding you back, but it could be. Its also only a dual core, so on any games that make good use of 4 cores, you're losing out vs an i5.
But yes, I would just buy that I5 you posted from ebay
The ssd
and a new gpu that works with 430 watts.
You could also wait a few weeks or so for graphics, since the new AMD line is going to be announced. May cheapen prices of current cards and/or just offer better options with the new line to choose from.

AMD and Nvidia are chip makers.
Asus is just a manufacturer that sells those chips with modifications to stock chip settings/after market coolers.

So... your current card is made by MSI, but it is an AMD chip.

You can handle some AMD chips, but not their stronger cards like a 280 or a 290, because of your power supply.
Nvidias 970 is as powerful as AMD's most powerful chip, but requires a lot less power, so you should be able to handle it.
You could also upgrade to a GTX 960 for $200. It is about 40% more powerful than your current card, whereas a gtx 970 is about 110% stronger than your current card.

The new amd release, may push down Nvidias pricing on the 970, or it may offer an alternative, depending on the R9 390's power requirements. ^^

Should I wait a bit for a stronger CPU and/or get a better PSU? I'm going to be getting $2,700, so I have enough money to get upgrades I need but I REALLY didn't want to blow it all since my PC atm is working just fine. Just want to make it run any game on max.

You can if you want to.
I personally dont think its worth it in your case for 2 reasons:
1. it will be full price, 220 for processor and whatever for a new mobo [which youd need]
2. You'll need new ram since its not working ddr3 ram.

I would just get yourself the 3570k and a new gpu and call it a day.

edit: you can get a new psu if you want, you don't need it, but it would be nice to have for future upgrades. youd need to spend about 50-75 bucks for something thats gonna last you the next 5 years.
