Interesting list! any recommendations from that list with 11+ hours of battery based on it's processing speed and such? like for my needs.

I notice touch screens on that list have worse battery life, why is that?

Well, a normal screen just displays (which uses a lot of battery life). A screen that can read touch as well, uses a whole lot more. :)
