noise can come from anywhere in the computer. fans on power supplies are generally quiet when not under full load. you may experience coil whine. its common and doesnt mean your computer will blow up.

as i said earlier, i wouldnt get the photon as it is new to the market and not many people have much to say about it (good or bad) on the internet just yet. this EVGA power supply is on sale for a really good price right now.

that's actually a pretty good deal. I just snagged that. so I only need to get a CPU and Mobo whenever I'm back in the states! Thanks for the help again JSP~

Alright guys, I'm ready to buy the best bang for the buck in the next few days.
I just need a nice PSU, SSD, and possibly an aftermarket CPU cooler.

I have already ordered a Z97 and RAM. I can buy the CPU from MicroCenter locally.

I really need the most cost efficient and reliable SSD.
For the PSU, I just need it to have 3 6-8 pins. Preferably quiet as well :)

Whoever sends me the best deals, gets 44 fg.

If you can still order from NCIX.US, get this: http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=97305&vpn=120-G1-0650-XR&manufacture=eVGA&promoid=1428

80+ Gold rated, fully modular, will XFire 2x6850 no problem, decently rated in testing, and as good a price you're going to see for a Gold rated 650W reputable PSU.
