I urge you to consider upping your budget a little. Consider some of the Sager/Clevo builds from Xotic/LPC-Digital/any of the reputable builders. I'm currently sporting a Sager NP8265 from LPC-Digital with a 770M in it, and I get great performance at maximum settings on the games I play (Diablo 3, Tribes: Ascend, Borderlands 2, and GTA IV modded).

I am a huge fan of the name-brand giants like Asus and MSI for performance laptops, but for the price I have yet to see a strong competitor to my gaming laptop.
