I agree with Aneas. Those mobos are both beyond anything you need. If money is an object, would not spend such money.

I also disagree with you that you will serious benefits of the i7 over an i5, but am not going to attempt to talk you out of splurging on one if you do truly have the money to spend on it, because it is still a nice luxury :)
But am only noting, if you did want to save the money, you could do everything you want just fine with the i5.

tbh the last time i checked, H97 Performance was like 20$ more expensive. For 79,99$, I think it's currently the single best price/performance board regardless of -k or non-k Haswell/Devil's Canyon CPU.
+ it fits in urbanshaft's red/black builds ;)
