That is...exactly what OC will do. Lol.

But I agree with people.
SSD + a 970. If youre just not wanting a 300+ dollar gpu then get a 960 or a 280/285/280x, whatever is cheapest.

oc a modern i7 isn't gonna do much
at least nothing noticeable

i could understand if it was a g3258 or some weak and cpu
but oc something that doesn't even begin to bottleneck a single card isn't gonna do shit

id love to see benchmarks showing a decent oc of a haswell i7 that gives all these fps

oc a gpu will
but even then it's not like you're gaining 30% more fps

Better off spending the little extra on a decent card.

According to Intel, it's possible.

Never tried it on H77 myself... but it also works with Devil's Canyon + B85/H97/etc.. Should give it a try.

It's possible, but it's not even worth ocing a non k since it won't even be much anyways, and on top of that the ASRock h board isn't much help either

Yeah sry, thought I read 3770k in specs. Guess he could put the single core turbo clock on all cores without any problems though.

ImO sell the GPU, keep the rest and get these:

Might need to add a 6pin-to-8pin adapter from any electronics vendor nearby (not sure if PSU has 2x 6/8pin or just 2x6pin connectors) and you're good to go.

Your PSU will be fine and you won't even need a cooler for your i7. And selling your old GPU should also keep the cost below 400$.
