Windows 10 comes out soon.
You can download a program called "Start Is Back" but after a while you begin to enjoy the tiles of Windows 8. Personally, I own a 7 PC but my school uses 8.1 and it's really quick to use, just some getting used too.
And I can tell 8.1 is more hardware friendly, since they run 8.1 better than they did Windows XP when they upgraded last year. No PC upgrades.
