So, I did some work and got it overclocked to 3.999 Ghz stable for 12 hours on prime 95.

Now comes the big question, I'm getting an i7 4770K relatively cheap and an R9 290x BF4 Edition 4GB Sapphire card for $100.00 what mobo would anyone recommend? Also, will a Hyper 212 Evo be enough cooling for this cpu?

Take this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130801&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

and the hyper 212 evo will cool it fine even with a decent overclock

E: Nice overclock on your old cpu btw.

Thanks and that works within my budget.

Took m a while to get it stable. Never knew voltage needed increased on Phenom to oc succesfully. Had to raise CPU voltage to 1.45 and at the moment still running at 35 C.
