did you plug the monitor into the 750ti?

Sorry for the late reply.. I have been mucho busy. Yes, I did plug it directly to the graphics card. I did some research and a possibility for my troubles is that the BIOS needs to be updated on the motherboard. I'm going to try updating the BIOS to the most recent and see if this rectifies the situation but has anyone run into doing this by chance? I did order a cheapy CPU to at least have my computer boot.

doubt u need a bios update for this 760k

Just wanted to share an update as I did update the BIOS and my computer did finally post. I've finally got my new comp running and everything seems to be functioning normally. This was a fun project to tackle and thanks for the recommendations to the parts. I still don't know much about computers but i guess that's what these forums are for. Thanks again everyone!
