Strictly speaking in terms of poll options, GPU over CPU+Motherboard. Your current ones are fine.

both are fine, but amd cpus do have problems with mmorpg type games

Ok, it looks like the consensus is definitely a new GPU. I don't think I can afford a 970, so I'll probably do what DeXaFiLaH said and wait a month or so, and hope the price to go down.

People with AMD + AMD tell me that. But I know an upgrade can't hurt.

But then why do Desecrated ground maps drop me below 30fps since the summer? :( I don't even have shadows on.

Also, I never used to die to Cast on Crit characters in my party, now they wreck my screen.

Bro, all MMORPG's are hard on comps...add to that crappy server maintenance, and you begin to see the problem.

You don't NEED better hardware, but a GTX 970 would make a whole lot of difference.

I'm even assuming you have a 7970 and not a 7950...have a look...

You don't have to upgrade anything.

I agree with Wraith. I would investigate software side issues. In the most extreme scenario I would reformat before upgrading that GPU.

nvidia cards run bioshock infinite better in general with ddof on, so thats not necessarily the best game to use as comparison.
