My 4790k requires 1.45v to get to 5.0 GHz :\
Runs idle at 49C and only tried to run Aida64 for about 25 minutes. It got up to 97 on my H110.

/e The reason I ask is that since 2014, ASUS now has an OCing dept. With the bazillion voltage settings in these UEFI BIOS's , they may have some info that will help with that.

the Dominator RAM is extremely overkill. Look into vengeance pro. Anything higher is mostly for overclocking the RAM. If you plan on gaming you do not need more than 16GB

I chose it for style purposes aswell.
And it's 16gb btw in case you thought it was more.

I'm having no issues on Z97 board with 1.65V RAM but with different cpu - g3258.
