Ive been saying 290x since 900 series release when I seen them on sale for mid 200s when people were still on the 970 bandwagon
Glad to see others coming around

For the price 970 is great though

Which gpu do you currently have? I seen you list 2..
If its a 79XX id wait till the new 300 series or latest in the 900 series

Thanks everyone, I have the 7950 sorry, I will wait for the 300 series and then upgrade.

I use a dual monitor 27" acer and 23" acer, both pretty much brand new, great quality, love them, worth every penny.

I've been back on the 290 since they started selling good brands at $250. But I've never seen a good brand 290x under $300, and for that price you're better off paying $30 more for 970 imo. Unless of course you're running 4k, in which case AMD all the way.

Shouldn't matter really as long as there are places in the USA where you're at like 0,08$ per KWh. Different story for Europe, especially Germany though... here it's like Intel + nvidia > AMD by KWh prices alone :)

check specs for the cards :)

you'll recommended to have a psu of at least 500w for the 970 and for the 780 600w

they overestimate those numbers to cover their asses, the actual power draw is less
