my father used to help his mom with computer stuff, but he ALWAYS gets blamed when something doesnt work right. the plug to the printer got loose (prolly when she vacuumed) and stopped printing, so she bought a brand new printer and blamed him for breaking it, a year after he touched it.

I would do it. Explain you're only responsible for building/installing windows and common programs and making sure it works with all updated drivers. If it shits out past that point you are not responsible (unless u forgot thermal paste or some shit like that). Thats what i do for my friends when i build their pcs. Typically charge $50 unless close friend then its a case of beer that we drink while i build lol

U just gotta be clear that once built and functioning.. your job is done and you're not responsible for anything past that.
