I wouldn't say Samsung has the best price/performance...I'd say it has the best performance but only slightly and much better reliability...

all in all, cheapest size @ your budget...they're virtually all the same for every day usage..

The price:performance remark was about mainstream drives as a whole. The comparison I made afterward was not about price:performance, but rather the order I would rate said mainstream drives, prices are going to vary from week to week and therefore was meant to be omitted from the comparison. (I can see how it was misleading though)

And for the record, I consider reliability and longevity to be factors in the "performance" of a storage device. In terms of performance (speeds, reliability, longevity, etc) Samsung is the best for a reasonable price, and is thus what I recommend to the OP.

get a seagate hybrid drive for 80$ or less if you're looking for budget friendly.

It's a pretty fair deal. Too bad it's not an Extreme Pro, they're one of the best SSD's I've used with a 10yr warranty to boot.

Also, if anyone else can link anything better that'd be great!

I may be able to up it to 125 (maybe 150!) if it's that big of a difference.

E: Also does it add more stress on my PSU? I think I am just about at my max wattage. Have a 600W PSU bronze modular with a R9 280 in it. 8 core processor 8320 and 8 GB RAM

It will draw a couple watts at MOST.

If you're willing to up your budget to $125 or so, definitely stick with a Samsung 840 EVO.

Best in the $100-$150 price range, I would say.

If you really want to save a few $, go with the Crucial M500 or the newer MX100.
Those are the most recommended Budget SSDs in German tech forums and nobody I know of had any problems with it so far.
Looks like they're also very cheap in Canada/US, so that would be my choice even over a Samsung EVO.
