Benchmarks are all over the place between the 2.... some say it's better some say they are equal... some say the 3570k is better...

It's supossed to be a gaming PC

The page I linked shows clearly FX is inferior in gaming, even overclocking to 4.8GHz which requires beefy mobo and cooler doesn't help that much.

Exception appears in Crysis 3 where FX finally shows it's full potential.

Didn't even bother watching.

If it's a 50$ difference I'd go for an older 2500k which is better for overclocking than younger brother (temperature wise ) due to use of a proper TIM

Not a kid and I didn't get any real counter arguments yet nor any proof I'm wrong at all

Kid, there are tons of benchmarks out there that show either the 3570k or the 8350 being better than the other.

That said, Kid, for the price, the 8350 would suffice for gaming purposes.

And Kid, if you can tell me you could honestly tell a 3570k rig from an 8350 rig with the naked eye, then, Kid, you're a fucking liar.

Kid.

Might i point out, amidst all the rage posted above me...

that CPU's, although very nice for everything other than gaming, ARE NOT BENEFICIAL TO GAMING.

Of course in the situation that a CPU bottlenecks a meaty GPU, then yes, your CPU is important.

However, my point is that your graphics card determines your machine's performance in video games.

These "kids" will cry all over your post but the fact is, a strong GPU is far more important during this era of high resolution and lush texture. On a final note, a 2 gig Vram card is your best investment, especially if you play demanding games such as BF3!!

Its really does depend on the game
and a strong GPU powered by a 100$ cpu is going to see a difference
A game life BF3 doesnt use the CPU that much, but for games like The Witcher 2, it really needs all it can get. I recall alot of complaints about SC2 requiring alot of CPU power in order to run at decent framerates
Not to mention the CPU drives everything when you're not gaming

I dont see how "a 2 gig vram card is your best investment", as 1 screen at 1080p playing BF3 doesnt take more than 1gb Vram
At least I run around 2.2-2.4 when running eyefinity. Would assum 1 screen would take 1/3 of the amount of vram
