not quite true. a high cpu and gpu can easily require 450w alone.

I run an overclocked 4x 4,2 GHz i5-3570k with an AMD Radeon HD 7950 that is also overclocked to 1+ GHz and even have an extra dedicated PhysX-Card (nvidia 440 GT). For all that (and possibly for the next 0,3 GHz on CPU side) I only use a 480W PSU (80+ Gold) and there hasn't been a problem with that setup yet.

Seeing that TO uses the same CPU and a GTX 670, he will definitely not need 450 W.

The motherboard will recognize the ram itself. If not, just adjust it in the bios. I say spend $40 on ram unless youre satisfied with the free ram.

Yeah I'm going to just purchase the RAM I already picked out and sell these on craigslist or in the donor real-life trading forum.

The 670 says in the details that it wants at least a 550W PSU. If I saw a 600W option that was modular etc. which I liked I might pick it, but I'm fine with this. I may expand my power usage in the future so this gives me some head-room.

I placed the order 19 hours ago, and I saw that monitor too about 20 minutes after paying for my order =( Oh well. It may be a little smaller, but the pixel pitch rate on the monitor I did get is sizably better (7% or so - which is a lot when you consider how many pixels a monitor has) than that one, so who knows. I feel fine with what I purchased.

My school's website was out-dated. I ended up paying $100 for 2010 Office Pro and they didn't even have Windows 7 so I ended up getting the Windows 7 Home Upgrade from Staples for 120 ><. Extra $60 between those two I ended up paying.

I anticipate all of the parts arriving by Tuesday. I may make a build thread.
