It's PCI-E 3.0, so I think it doesn't matter which slot it's populated in...not 100% sure though...I know my Evga X58 board, both slots are x16, so I can run with the card in either slot...

Ah ok. I don't know I whole lot about motherboards to be honest. I've just heard that as a general rule that's all.
What does it mean though if your mobo is crossfire capable but one is a x16 lane and the other is a x4?

Actually I would disagree. That is probably the best PSU at that price point, and it's modular. And that ram is more like the fastest part in his Pc, once it's overclocked, and won't violate his CPU's warranty ;)

1600 is all you need, 1866/2133 is not required at all for this build.

Unless your board is x16/x16...I called Evga tech support and made a thread on their forums when I added that after market north bridge cooler to my X58 Micro, and it blocked the top PCI-E slot...they said it was fine to run it on the second lane...

I have it in the lower pcie due to clearance issues with the SATA ports. It was feasting right on em. Seems to of fine when I tested it on oc :)

Yeah power color didn't seem like the best but I watched a few videos and reviews and it looked good enough for my needs.
