if you can, a 4870 would be a much better choice, and usually costs less than a 5770 but a bit more than the 5670, the 5670 is ALOT weaker than a 5770

4870 is about = to a 5770, just doesnt have DX11, which isnt a huge deal, as its performance is way better than a 5670

here is an average FPS chart, averaged from several games at a high 1920x1080 resolution with 8x AA (if you have a lower res monitor, i can post that benchmark too)

http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2010-gaming-graphics-charts-high-quality/Sum-of-FPS-Benchmarks-1920x1200,2491.html

5670 136-138fps
4870 180-217fps
5770 200-217fps

here is another common resolution, 1680x1050
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2010-gaming-graphics-charts-high-quality/Sum-of-FPS-Benchmarks-1680x1050,2488.html

5670 156-158fps
4870 216-247 fps
5770 238-242fps

ish

these are just averages, DX10 games the 4870 will probably perform a bit better, DX11 games the 5770 performs a bit better, regardless, the 5670 falls pretty far behind

no, a chipset would be like an INTEL GMA 3150 or Radeon HD4200

those are graphics, HD4870 is a good choice on a budget, you could probably pick one up used for around $100usd (i dunno, 70-80 euro? )on overclock.net, theres people that live all over the world on that forum

oooh so I mixed them up :P

My monitor can handle 1690x1050 atm, but will upgrade everything from time to time,
starting with vid card,
mobo + CPU will follow short after that
next is OS
RAM
and mouse/monitor :)
