No, there isn't a performance difference. The problem here is that DDR2 support is gone. No future chipsets will be using DDR2. Also, socket 775 is done. Intel is no longer making new 775 chips in favor of 1156/1366. Your build offers up zero upgrade potential all while banking his entire value on huge overclocks, which realistically he may not be able to obtain (dud hardware) or be able to do (not enough knowledge. it takes a bit to push a big overclock like that).
Basically your build is shit.
wow what a amd fanboy. 775 isnt dead. yeah they dont make new shit for it anymore, but the stuff that is now out for it is fast and better then everything amd has to offer in the same price range. there is really no point on upgrading anyhting in a pc down the road. u build a pc, u keep it for a few years then u build a new one. the e6300 at stock is > then the amd 245
need proof? here is a bench mark:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/default.aspx?p=94&p2=96&c=1the e6300 KILLS the amd at stock, the intel is cheaper, and any idiot can overclock a e6300 to 3.5 ghz at least( and mind u core2duo > overclocker then any amd chip) to kill the amd even more. so this forum needs to stop fan boyign amd, the 775 socket it fine you dont know shit
