You have the wrong windows 11. You need a digital version, as you don't have a disc drive. I would also get a nvme m.2 ssd. You have an old version selected. It will still work, though.

i9 12900ks is a big jump from your 7 5800x, definitely going to be overkill
Personally I'd go with a 2TB M2 NVME PCIe (Boot) and 2TB 2.5" SSD (Extra storage) if you think you need 4tb

Building your own PC can be great, but don't let everyone tell you it's the absolute best way to go...
If you build your own PC and have problems, it's going to be up to you, a friend or a computer tech/company to help determine the problem, can be costly if you're not a computer person tbh
Prebuilts absolutely have a market, warranties included within that specific company instead of on a part-to-part basis - any issues you RMA it or have them fix it under warranty - peace of mind

Like said though you would want a digital copy of Windows 11
I can't mention the company here but you can DM me for more info, you can get them online for about $15usd vs. +$100 retail

Here's a build I put together using the Ryzen 7 5700x instead of 5800x - it's $40 less and will perform the same for gaming tasks

AMD/Fractal/Team/Asus-Strix

Good luck with whatever you do!

I guess I'm different and always wanting to learn a new skill to be self-sufficient. I bought a prebuilt many years ago because I was afraid and didn't know what I was doing. The experience gained from doing something yourself along with the serotonin is unmatched.

That being said, you are correct. It is not for everyone.

To op: I took the liberty of building you a PC here - again, disclaimer, I am biased towards Corsair for their reliability. See below. Just note, you will need fan cases. I recommend corsair 120mm RGB fans. If you do RGB, youll need a RGB controller which corsair also sells. It's called the commander core xt. If you don't want RGB fans, you can get the normal ones and not need a controller. You'll likely need a fan splitter hub, though. This connects to the motherboard and is often mounted in the back panel, on the back side of the motherboard.

/e I see what you did now for the OS in pcpartpicker. It won't allow me to select the digital Windows 11 version.

I've taken everyone's advice here and decided to do some search on pc part picker and ended up buying this about 10 minutes ago.

I appreciate everyone's help!

Here's the list in case anyone is curious to what I've purchased.

Can't wait until the parts get here and I have everything ready! Excited!

A $3,000 build with a 4070 is trolling in my unprofessional opinion

Best of luck

Tbh, the only weak spot here is just the 4070. But he's not playing in 4K. His build is actually very solid. There's only minor things he still needs.

To op: Make sure you buy at LEAST one more 120mm fan for the exhaust fan. This is a MUST. I have the 5000D airflow and its incredible at keeping my temps extremely low. I'm sure you'll love the 7000D. Highly suggest you buy a total of 4 more fans, 1 being the exhaust and the other 3 on the side panel to maximum airflow.

Final tips: make sure you go SLOW when building the PC. Don't force anything and take your time. Ground yourself and build on a non-static surface. Wash your hands before touching mobo, CPU, etc. When installing the CPU, do NOT touch the pins at all.
