Going to buy a new computer and looking at monitors, anywone that have played on ultrawide computer monitors? How was it compared to a normal? Going to play in 1440p, mainly play games like baldurs gate 3, wow, ff14, new dragon age, fallout and games style same like that

seem really cool to play on ultrawide if I build a PC I'm gonna buy this format for sure, now I'm on a iMac 5k it's a LG UltraFine 5K panel and I love it for work and I can play some game in full res like D2R and it's amazing

Ultrawides are a different experience, pretty sweet though tbh. Check the games you play and see if they support Ultrawide as not all games do, and will reduce screen real estate to reflect games aspect ratio and can bug ppl out.

The games you listed are all great for Ultrawide style gameplay, RTS/MMORPG etc.

WoW and FFXIV support ultrawide as I have played both on an ultrawide monitor and its really nice - In terms of the other games you mentioned can't comment but going UW is still fine worse that happens is you have black bars on the left and right of the screen for games that don't support it but the play screen area is no smaller than an average monitor.
