Hes gonna spend $50 more for an nvidia card with minimal performance increase tbh. If he needs more storage, just get a 1tb ssd, too good of performance to pass up imo.

1tb of ssd is about 200-300$

A hard drive is 60$ and has 1tb.

the performances aren't justifiable enough to spend 3/10th of it on a ssd

You can get something from Kingston, Team, ADATA, etc for like $130 CAD.
If he's using it as a secondary drive then it's fine, but I would 100% not use a HDD as your boot or application drive.

im not gonna go into details but, there's a reason he won't be getting an SSD.

he's trying to keep the cost to the basic, to have a decent pc.

loading and booting times aren't worth the extra $$ to save 5-10minutes

Then get the wd blue or Seagate barracuda hdd and enjoy having loading screens and disk noise.
