Budget: 1500, but prefer to come in under. Don't need a gfx card.

They make nice budget SSD's. They aren't quite as fast as the Samsung or Intel stuff, but it's unlikely you'll notice a difference gaming, especially if you don't play any open world games.
I should mention that Intel CPU's generally provide better FPS gaming by around 15% (varies game to game), but it will not offer multi-threaded capability. If you do any sort of productivity work, I would recommend the AMD, otherwise if it's strictly gaming, go for the Intel.

Nothing specific for color, black is fine in my book. Thanks for the review on the monitor, I'll look into it more.
