Which would you suggest .. im currently looking at AIO cooling but i don't plan on OCing my cpu so should i just stick with regular air cooling ?

Tbh I don't like the hassle of large aircoolers. Nor the look of em.. It's not early 2000's.
As for performance it depends on the coolers your matching up.
Air coolers kick most aios asses till the 100+ range. When comparing similar priced items.

After that water coolers just handle loads better but only needed for more serious oc's.

Air coolers, easily. Don't have to worry about small chance of leak, mounting the radiator, etc.

Been using my Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO for almost a decade now. Used it on my old FX 6300, and now my i7. Great temps, dirt cheap, and still going strong.

Mounting a rad is literally 2-8 screws depending how lazy you are....

Not sure what you mean. I used to own a fx 6300, but switched to a i7 2600 (i lied when I said I got a i7 2600k :P). And yupitsmeh called me out on it, actually

In any event, that's not relevant to the OP's question. My points for Air Coolers are my own opinion, and a lot easier to install compared to an AIO. That's my opinion mate, and if u don't like it i'm sorry...

and how often is it due to the consumer not properly installing the AIO?

It's really low, I don't know the percentage unfortunately. You also have to take into consideration the pump too. Another layer of risk. Leak and/or possible pump failure. Just too much of a risk for me, I'd rather use a simple air cooler.

You are not overclocking either. Even if you were, some Air Coolers would be fine for that.

Personal preference in Ur situation. Aio looks nicer cuz no bulky looking chunk and companies like corsair will replace Ur build if it gets fucked by their product leaking. that's how confident they are. Old air coolers like evo 212 are more challenging to install than popular aio or more recent air coolers such as cryorigs, but they're all ez to install.
I Haven't had any leaks yet, nor any of my friends owning aio coolers from cryorig/corsair/Thermaltake so chances are rare from my experience.

I am going to stick with the AIO cooler i was suggested.
I'll just make sure to carefully install it upon receiving it.

just don't install it with a jack hammer.
