So...Titles...
ASRock X370 Killer SLI AM4 AMD Promontory X370
AMD RYZEN 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz
HyperX Fury 8GB (1 x 8G) DDR4 2400 RAM HX424C15FB2/8
Thermaltake white 700w
AZZA Titan CSAZ-240 Black

Everything is brand new.

So... I knew by ordering, that i would need to get a bios update. Ive ordered the bootkit from amd ( got in super quickly and approval was easy) Ive got a a6 9500 am4 something.

Ive decided not to do it myself, and went to a local shop to do the update ( they charge 25$ CAD...).I did not receive my harddrive yet. I will install windows 10 myself later.

So ive left the guy the computer for about 30min, then came back thinking it would be done... I come back, He tell me he did the update to 4.6, he saw a post, then decided to switch it just as went I came in. Then no post with the Ryzen. Then no post with the a6 loaned by amd either.

He remove the motherboard, inspect it, put it back on, then the a6 post, he close the computer, put the ryzen in, no post.

Check the ram, no post. Use the onboard graphic, no post. Put the a6 back in, no post.

He said hes gonna keep it till he figure the issue ( no extra charge ), as the other tech is coming in tommorow, he will call me back.. Did the shop just screwed my board?

*that was yesterday

Today, called twice....Pretty much impatient im getting.... First he said he will call me back later...

Second time ive called, before the shop close... He said something is wrong now, the motherboard doesnt post anymore...with either both cpu.

Let me know what you guys thinks :0

Computer shops are scams and not worth the $ at all. Should have just watched a simple 10 minute NewEgg YouTube tutorial on how to put the PC together and do it yourself

Sorry for your loss / hassle through this

Nope, depends on your knowledge as a PC consumer. Majority of them are rip offs and scams that do nothing you can't do at your home watching a small YT tutorial.

For DATA recovery, is the only exemption I'm willing to give

Well, the board did post on CPU am4 a6 9600.
The guy has been able to put the bios update up to 4.60, as asrock mention.

I did not wanted to do it myself, as i did not want to mess it up with theses little tutorial.
I went to local shop because it gave me insurrance that if they mess up, they will replace at their expense.

Newegg offered me to return the item, but they might return the defect one because of the sticker i removed to get the mail-in rabate...
offer on mail-in rabate of 45$ on the board, and had to send the stickers with the code bars on... Sent it yesterday before getting the bootkit ( I had 10 day to do so, today would have been too late)

If they do return the defect, im pretty much stuck...

The computer had no hard drive yet

edit* He told me today that he will speak with his boss and try to figure what they will do..
this shop has been there for about 20 years, Microbytes if people know who they are

The PC was already fully assembled when I did bring it in.

You can always RMA it with the manufacturer and most will do the bios update for you on either it or the replacement before return shipment.
Wait it out see what happens if he can't fix it then deal with the manufacture directly, only down side is the waiting game.

Depends on too many factors but 1-4 weeks is a rough guess.
could be longer though.
