I'm trying to build a sexy rgb gaming rig. will be playing 1080@144 hz. wont be buying until april, as im currently deployed to kuwait.

NOTE: i already own the gpu, and i have a 750 gold psu. i also already have a 1t hdd and a 128 ssd, but i want to expand the ssd with the ones linked. I will also wind up delidding this cpu. I'm going to go air cooling only because I'm too scared of leaks.

only suggestion is invest into a better cooler.
maybe one that even supports your rgb theme.

aside from that maybe some more and bigger fans along with a fan hub.

Front: 3 x 120 mm or 2 x 140 mm fan (1 x 120 mm fan included)
Top: 2 x 120 mm /40 mm fan
Rear: 1 x 120 mm fan (included)

Thank you for your comment. Can you link to a cooler that offers better performance and also has rgb?

I got a better performance CPU cooler and 3x RGB fans for the front of the case...

EVGA CLC 280
NZXT - Kraken X62
Thermaltake - Floe Riing RGB 280

those are the ones i'd go with.

ive edited your pp list with what has been rated as the #1 air cooled heatsync, and a liquid option.

the air cooler is massive, but throughput of air is actually very impressive, along with having 12 stems that run over the base.

the liquid cooled option: i understand that you are weary of leaks, i was the same way. ive had my h115 running constant for a little over 2 years with no issues at all. i have taken my AMD fx 9590 from stock 4.7ghz to a constant and stable 5.5ghz (max stable oc capability is supposed to be 5ghz) with minimal fluctuations in the core temps using the h115. maintenace wise; as you should anyways even with air cooled, clean your case out every 2 weeks to a month, and double check all of the connectors for signs of leaks. dont be weary of liquid cooling. im not anymore. it is well worth it, especially if you intend on deliding the cpu..

also: i found this comparison of the air cooler ive listed vs a few "closed loop" liquid coolers.. interesting read

you can't really compare a 9590 to an 8700k, intel are cheap bastards to the temperature gradient is a lot higher between the ihs and die, causing liquid cooling to be a lot less effective on an intel cpu that hasn't been delidded. You may as well just save some bucks and go for the high-end air cooler.

But I have to say I find it quite hard to believe you ran a 9590 at 5.5ghz on all cores with air. That's practically ln2 levels... What kind of voltage did you have to run it at to make it stable? 1.55? 1.6? You must have not only won the silicon lottery, but exhausted a lifetimes worth of silicon lottery wins in a single purchase.

i didnt overclock the 9590 beyond 5ghz on the stock cooler. temps skyrocketed too fast. thus why i opted for the corsair h115i and i gradually over the span of 2 months increased the core multiplier until i found 5.5 was stable. 5.6 starts glitching and causing core failures/blue screens.

none the less i dont think ill ever go back to air cooled, since i delid every processor i have owned/will own.

you cant delid a 9590

delid to me on amd's is overclocking..

and it is possible to delid an amd.. risky though as amd spreaders are really secure, probably only a 5% chance of successfully deliding.

Once again, you cannot delid an fx-9590 cpu in this manner. That was a sempron that was not soldered. You would 100% kill an fx-9590
between this and the 5.5ghz on air i have to assume you're compulsively lying, but for what purpose?
