Currently looking at the Benq 24" LED HD one.

How are these?

This has 2ms response time, do I need to look at 1ms ones?

save your money and get a 144hz 1ms monitor.
upgrade hardware if need be but if your dead set on being cheap theres better options.

Is that monitor mentioned still good without the free sync stuff?

Yeah sure. It's just an optional feature you can use if you have an AMD card. It's nvidias version of gsync, but that feature in a monitor adds quite a lot to the price of a monitor.

It's not like you gonna lose something by getting a monitor supporting freesync and not using it vs getting a monitor without freesync.

Right now im a fan of GeForce, so should I look for a monitor with gsync.
